Day 25 is our first full day in Toronto and with Big Ed having work commitments we have to fend for ourselves. We had a breakfast of muesli yoghurt and berries at home before heading out to a local cafe for a coffee. We managed to find an amazing establishment for coffee called
'Early Bird Espresso' where they served a range of coffees, cakes and light snacks. It had a great feel aboot (Canadian for about) it, very raw and industrial style and most importantly great coffee. Jo had a Cappuccino which she thoroughly enjoyed and I had an Americano Misto (a Long black with a little more hot water and steamed milk atop) which I also thoroughly enjoyed also!!

We were now out and aboot on Queen St W heading towards the city, We widow shopped our way through the 'fashion and design districts' before hitting the 'concrete jungle' of the financial district. We weren't just walking aimlessly around, there was a busking festival on in the city that we were going to check out. The festival had one of the main streets in downtown Toronto closed off and it was packed full of people checking out the random busking events. There were many different acts on, we saw a quartet of acrobatic granny's (not really granny's though, just acting like little old lady's). There were also musicians, jugglers, sword swallowers and a range of uselessly talented people.

On day 26 we arose slowly with a couple of sore heads. Eddie's roommates were taking there little cousin to the Toronto FanExpo (Comincon style nerdfest) and we thought, when in Canada, and decided to tag along. It was a great experience. There were tonnes of people dressed up as there favourite characters; we saw Supermen, Batmen, Spidermen and a cocktail of more characters. Some of which Jo and I had to ask who they were. Inside the multi-storied convention centre it was as chaotic as a Salvador Dali piece, we dipped, dodged, ducked and weaved our way through level after level.

We arrived home with very sore feet and regrouped for a few hours before we again tagged along to the movies and saw 'Kick Ass 2', which we enjoyed. An appropriate movie to watch to finish off our nerdtastic day.
Day 27 and we are starting to feel better after our big night a few nights earlier. It was Sunday here and Eddie drove us down to Niagara Falls, which is only aboot 1.5 hours from downtown Toronto. The falls were very busy, as expected, but we had a nice walk around and grabbed some lunch from Hard Rock Cafe. The Falls were amazing, they were so powerful that when walking around you were getting sprayed with mist. We went for a quick drive down Niagara on the lake, which is a vineyard surrounded town with artisan and antique shops. We arrived home around 6 and made eddie and his housemates steak and an aussie salad (Aussie due to the fact it was made by aussies), which they loved. We finished off the night with Monopoly deal and cigars on the roof top overlooking the CN Tower.
